Flag Football Rules

Our games are designed to be fast-paced and high scoring.    There are 5 kids on the field per team at a time, and the field of play is approximately 60 yards long and 30 yards wide.     This format lends itself to a less congested, wide open environment for the kids to run and make plays.

There’s no kickoffs, punts, or field goal attempts in our games.    With only one practice day per week, we just don’t have the time to implement a kicking game.

The offense begins at its own 5 yard line and has 3 plays to get to mid-field, otherwise it’s a turnover on downs and the other team then begins on its 5 yard line.     If the offense makes it to mid-field within 3 plays, it earns a first down and then has 3 more plays to score.
